Leukemia & Lymphoma Society mission is to “cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.”

Stupid Cancer was designed to “help to empower everyone affected by adolescent and young adult (AYA) cancer by ending isolation and building community so that everyone in the AYA community is supported, understood, and accepted.”

Us TOO empowers people diagnosed with prostate cancer, and their loved ones, with the educational resources and support services to fight prostate cancer.

Cancer affects us all. The Ulman Foundation supports and recognizes each individual as a whole before, during and beyond their diagnosis.
At Ulman, you are welcomed, respected, and supported within our community.

The mission of Wellness House of Annapolis is to provide support, education, and services to help individuals and families who have been touched by cancer recover their health and well-being in a home-like environment.

Living Beyond Breast Cancer is a national nonprofit that
connects people with trusted information and a community of support.

A resource that  “provides customized, one-to-one emotional support to anyone impacted by a breast cancer diagnosis.”

Some of our services include prosthetic breast  fittings, wigs, educational tote bags, lift chair loaner program and community related events to educate the public. All of our services are FREE.  In addition to our main office, support groups are held in the surrounding counties of Wicomico, Worcester, Somerset, and Dorchester.

An in store program offered at Walgreens stores featuring pharmacists and beauty consultants who are specially trained to help people better manage internal and visible side effects from cancer treatments. This service is available at select stores and it is free with no appointment needed.

Our mission is to enrich the health and well-being of those diagnosed with breast and ovarian cancers – for life – by funding and delivering integrative therapies.

Promote the development of healthy bodies and spirits, to support recovery from breast cancer and to grow friendships and teamwork. The club promotes and develops the sport of dragon boating as a means of building physical  strength, endurance, and confidence with a emphasis on recreation, synchrony, and harmony while on the beautiful Spa Creek.  Monthly trial 'soft paddles' are open to anyone.

COUNSELING RESOURCES IN AACO

Short-term individual counseling with a licensed clinical oncology social worker is available. This service is provided at no cost to the individual wishing to address issues related to cancer diagnosis, treatment, survivorship, and or quality of like, body image, sexuality, spiritual concerns, etc. Call your Nurse navigator for more information to arrange an appointments.

Having difficulty paying your utility bills, this program helps Maryland families: pay their utility bills, minimize heating crisis and making energy costs more affordable. 
You can apply anytime during the year, but must re-apply each fiscal year. Apply by contacting your oncology social work counselor or by arranging an appointment at your local agency.

The National Lymphedema Network’s mission is to empower our community of lymphedema practitioners and patients by providing educational opportunities, networking opportunities, and interventional resources. We aim to inspire clinicians to provide world-class care for people with lymphedema by promoting best practice guidelines and standards of care.

A Lymphedema Advocacy Group with a mission to “advance lymphedema care in the United States by advocating for improved insurance coverage for the diagnosis and treatment of the disease.”
